  Summary of Information
SYNONYMY
Taxonomic Comments. This African species has been reported from Brazil and Argentina. It's presence in South America is unlikely. While I have not seen the specimens from Argentina I have compared Brazilian specimens with the type of Stephanoderes elephas Eichhoff. The Brazilian specimens represent an undescribed species.
